Why did I choose Room to Read and why should you?
First
of all, I became a volunteer in the beginning of 2004 because I wanted
to help those who help children. There are hundreds of organizations helping
children so that's not really a motivating factor. What is motivating
is that Room to Read believes in helping them in the long term giving
them privileges that will last several generations besides helping children
with the power of knowledge. Your donations have a permanent impact on
many future generations. Think about it! Moreover, if you get to know
the staff of Room to Read as well as I do, you will notice a tremendous
commitment and incredible passion for anything they do. They truly love
helping the children -- something I share as well.
How
Can We Help?
For
all of you who want to help, do so directly through
their web site by donating whatever amount you can. They will love
to hear
from
you. Just make sure that you mention Planet By Bike under their special
instructions box so that we can keep track of all donations.
If
you really can't help finance a book,
a scholarship or a schoo or a computer labl, please download and print
out my flyer and give it to your co-workers or post it in your work
bulletin
board,
your
favority school's board or places where people could get involved. If
every visitor on this site did this, the word could be spread to millions.
You
can also forward this page to all of your friends who may be able to
help in any way. If you wish to translate this flyer to your own language,

how do I help the passionate adventurer?
It's
very important to me to help Room to Read build schools and support
the
underprivileged children. Any money donation will automatically go to
Room to Read but there are other ways that you can help. If you can
donate
in the form of equipment, mile rewards, sponsorship, your satellite radio
subscription or any creative way you can think of, just let
me know or follow the instructions on the bottom of this page
to contribute. I will retribute your favor by spreading the word
about the benefits of
cycling...the benefits of chasing your dream in the most inspirational,
genuine way.
